I can't draw... that's the truth. I hate art. What's the use of art? It's just an abstract... ahaha... that's what I used to say few years back.
Yeap, I hate art... maybe because my art teacher used to threw me out of class for not bringing art tools and materials, and I hate her comparing the best student in arts... My music teacher keeps beating me, because I forget to bring flute. Sorry for not attending extra music class to be your pet student. They're supposed to teach not to choose their fav. pet.
Although I didn't not brought those stuff on purpose, I did try my best to find potatoes and ended up being scolded by mom. Sticks and threads??? Oh, of course you can it in every house... yeah... including mine ... wrong... Expensive oil pastels??? It's cheap now, in those days.
In those days, those who got in the school bands or music clubs are only the talented ones.. but most what they called talented, are the ones that parents sent them to extra music school. How bout the interested ones but have no luxury in investing those kind of training?
Trained = Talented?
Anyway, the main subject is not bout this, art couldn't be that bad. I started to reconsider art, as there are many definition... even Leonardo Da Vinci thinks this way, " Science of Art, Art of Science." He is a great artist and also a great scientist.. I guess...
Recently, I could help thinking maybe I could draw. I'm not talented, but at least I could try copy a drawing write? Or maybe everybody can? I couldn't draw without a guide/picture, that is create a manga character out of a blue or be creative like those who create original arts. Search colour pencils for weeks. Ahh, at last found them dusty under my bed. I took a picture I like, an anime Blood+, one scene I really like so that I could pour my heart in it and tried to copied the drawing.
Don't know the results... it's not that great, but I rarely draw. Maybe once in 3 5 years?
How is it?

Nagoya University's Graduation Day
|
|
Graduation Day of University in Japan is held at the end of March.
It is celebrated differently from other university in the world. Instead of wearing graduation robe, Japanese modestly wears office black suits or some would prefer to wear traditional hakama.
Hakama is a long pleated skirt worn over kimono. Originally worned by samurai and only men, today, women outnumber men wearing hakama when it comes to graduation ceremonies. But still, it is rarely worn by women except as martial arts uniform or as a priestess.
More about hakama.

From Nagoya : 7:30 a.m
[Brief stop at Shizuoka]
Arrive Tokyo : 3:30 p.m
Route : 1 Gosen Federal Highway
Prepared with : loads of blankets, stack of instant noodles, frying pan, portable gas burner, chocolates for delights and some cooked food.
Tour : Imperial Palace -> Parliment -> Tokyo Tower -> Shibuya -> Malaysian Embassy -> Tokyo Highway Ring -> Odaiba -> Tokyo Disneyland
Plan to go to Imperial Palace but due to late arrival and complexity of the roads in Tokyo, it was almost dark and the Imperial Palace had just been close. Change of plan.
Went to Tokyo Towers. To our surprise, the place is soo lively and bustling with young people. Somethin had change since I came here 3 years ago. They renovated the 1st floor into a new dining space.
After city watching from the tower, decided to have a night drive around Tokyo. Headed for Shibuya, the busiest downtown for young people of Tokyo.
After that went to Odaiba. It was soo windy & cold, I didn't want to get out from the car. Sleep near Disneyland parking space.

Went to eat at all 105Yen sushi at Sushiro. Sushiro is located near Kanayama Eki at Namco Entertainment building.
To my surprise my sister liked sushi very much and she ate more than 9 plates. But my brother couldn't take the raw dish very well.
Compare to Kappa Sushi which is also 105Yen per plate, Sushiro is much more delicious but the service is a bit lousy. They don't even provide plate for shoyu (soy sauce.)
After eating sushi, showed my siblings the UFO catchers.

Today went to Nagoya Port.
Took lots of pics & movies but had to delete most of them becoz the memory card got soo full before half of the day.
Went to Nagoya Aquarium, one the largest aquarium in Japan. After finished, we walked around Nagoya Port. The lighting set up & sights was soo beautiful but too bad, our camera's battery went out.
Wish had a film camera & instead. Next time, I must remind myself to buy an extra memory card & batteries.

Planned to go to Nagoya Aquarium today, but we set up too late. A change of plan.
Took Ashraf & Izzati to Nagoya Castle but to our dismay the castle was closed becoze of New Year.
We went to Sakae downtown which is next to Nagoya Castle. Sakae is a very lively and young bustling city just like Shibuya to Tokyo.
We went to Oasis, Sakae's newest futuristic bus terminal & Nagoya TV Tower one of the oldest towers in Japan.
