Snowboard 2005
|
|
This year's winter, my brother & sister came to Japan. The first trip I brought them was snowboarding at Shiratori Winghills thru cheap school package.
My sister Izzati learned quite fast. She could slide the board down the hill without falling hard.So is my brother Ashraf.
I'm glad they like snbd very much.
Still not satisfied with snbding. Plan to go more than 3x.

Yesterdays it started snowing heavily again. The whole city is filled with snow, traffic jams were heavy.
Late at nite around 2am, when to Tsurumai park with Inda.
The park was filled with powdered snow and it was not that dark. But, there were nobody walking inside the park.
The scenery was soo beautiful and serene but it was too lonely and a bit eery.
We didn't stay like like we planned to. Took few pics and went back home.
Today, in the afternoon went to Tsurumai park again. Most of the snow have melted away. Our shoes and pants were soo wet.

Nagoya bukan tempat slalu turun salji, but 2 3 4 taun ni, cuaca kat Jepun pelik sgt. Sekejap musim hujan xberenti2, sekejap musim kemarau, sekejap winter panas lah.
Tahun nih lah, winter awal gile. Autumn entah kemana. Daun maple lambat kuar, lepas tu dah winter baru nk kuar. Pokok pun confuse. Dah ler, snow turun awal sebulan.

Try this face analyser at
www.faceanalyzer.com
Analyze your face and predicts your race, personality and archetype (characteristic and suitable job). Also have face celebraty match.
I tried 4 times, and the results for race analysing came out the same about 80 percent acurate.
As for the archetype and personality type I can't say as it is for my friends to decide. As for the face, I'm very flattered that 2 times I got Jesicca Alba and 2 times I got Faye Wong. Hmmm....
How you present yourself does give you a different impression

Biwako
|
|
After IPIJ Summer Camp we all went to Biwako Lake, the largest lake in Japan
| Quote: | | Lake Biwa gracefully lies at the centre of the Japanese Archipelago. It is the largest freshwater body in Japan with area of 670 sq.km and maximum depth of more than 100 metres. It is also one of the ancient lakes ranking with Lake Baikal and Lake Tanganyika. Many indigenous species are observed after a long process of evolution. The Lake provides a sanctuary for migrating birds from the north (Siberia) and south (Southeast Asia). Lake Biwa was registered as a wetland site of the Ramsar Convention in 1993. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) put the lake into the Global 200 list of the world's important ecoregions in 1997. The significance of Lake Biwa is now internationally recognized. Moreover, the water of Lake Biwa is utilized for drinking by fourteen million people in the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area. Lake Biwa is a precious property for all of us. |

1 day Trip To Kyoto Shrine
|
|
Last year, after Eid celebration, some us Nagoyan's decides to go to Kyoto http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2158.html see the beautiful falling leaves of Autumn.
There are 8 of us. The guys : Ajarn, Apai, Azfar, Yocha. he gals : Iema, Elmi, Tiqah and I
Arrive at Kyoto : 2:30 p.m (late than schedule)
Venue : 3 Temples and Kyoto Station
The Golden Pavillion (Kinkakuji)
| Quote: | Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) is a Zen temple formally known as Rokuonji.
In 1397 construction started on the Golden Pavilion as part of a new residence for the retired shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. Kinkakuji was converted into a Zen temple after Yoshimitsu's death in 1408.
The Golden Pavilion functions as shariden, housing sacred relics of the Buddha and is covered in gold leaf. The present building dates from 1955 as the pavilion was burnt by a fanatic monk in 1950. |
We went to watch the lighting up of the maple leaves at the 3rd temple (I forgot the name). It was hard trying to take pics using digi cams. Most pictures are blurred.
I wish we've brought a tripod or something. But anyway we enjoyed looking at the spectacular light up leaves.

Just finished my final semester exams. Don't know what to do and nothing special happen around Nagoya.
Browse my computer and found I still haven't posted yet half part of pictures from Family Trip to NZ last year's autumn (autumn in Nagoya that is).
After staying at Rotorua, we headed to Wellington.
http://www.newzealand.com/travel/destinations/regions/wellington/wellington/positively-wellington.cfm
On the way, we've stop at Wai O Tapu and Haku Falls (see NZ trip pt 2) .
At Wellington, my parents didn't city tour very much. But we did went to the highest peak in Wellington and were able to see the airport and the whole city. It was beautiful, but to my dismay I forgot to bring my camera along.
We stayed for only one day and took a ferry ride to Picton. From Picton we rent an Estima and drove for hours to Christchurch. The road was winding and I felt so sick the whole journey. We've stop near the riffs, and saw the great view of nature in NZ. It was like being a national geographic documentary, except that this is live.
I was soo glad we arived at Christchurh but it was late in the evening. My dad had some trouble finding accomodations. Sometimes I felt soo sorry for my dad and wish I could help him in some other way. But there is nothing I could do except to be with them at least once a year.
